Growing up, Tiffany McClung was taught to always give of her time, talent and treasure. As a resident of The Woodlands, she has been struck by the giving nature of the community and has been inspired by her neighbors to do all that she can to also give back in any way that she can.
“I am incredibly fortunate to be able to give my time,” McClung said. “That’s a luxury that many people don’t have. We all go through different seasons in our lives, and the most important thing that I have learned is that there is always an opportunity to give back in some way.”
McClung is passionate about the initiative of Memorial Hermann’s In the Pink of Health, a program that helps to raise funds for local organizations supporting patients and survivors of breast cancer. She had the honor of being the 2017 Co-Chair of the event, and is excited to continue the impactful work in 2018.
“What’s so wonderful about In the Pink of Health is that all of the money raised stays local,” McClung said. “There are so many programs that we benefit, one of which is Canopy. Their services are open to anyone going through cancer, and the services they provide are life changing. Being able to help support something that touches so many lives is humbling.”
Together with her husband and the team at The McClung Group, she also supports the Montgomery County Food Bank through a drive each year. In Montgomery County 1 in 4 children are food insecure, and the food donated to the Food Bank can help them to get the nutrition that they need to grow and thrive.
“What I love most about The Woodlands is the willingness of the community to give back. Through our examples we are teaching our kids to always give what they can, whether that be time or money, and helping to lead a new generation of responsible neighbors.”
